America's Test Kitchen is searching for a food-loving visually oriented Test Cook to join our cookbook team. In this role you'll assist with the production of all food needs for all cookbook photography and play a vital role on our larger cookbook team. You should be a team player, detail oriented, precise, a careful planner, and capable of managing multiple projects with firm deadlines across several departments.
Responsibilities include: Plan, prepare, and execute the production of recipes for styled food photography, step photography, and video that will be used within the cookbook program.Manage organized planning meetings and ingredient ordering/shopping for assigned photo shoots.Independently establish daily workflows to ensure successful execution of photography needs.Support team recipe development through execution of recipe tests on an as needed basis.Attend tastings and regular team planning meetings related to current recipe development on the book team. As required, conduct recipe development for assigned projects and appear as on-camera talent for video and social media shoots.Other duties as required.Education and Experience: Competent with both savory and sweet cooking methods.Preferred 2-years professional cooking experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.This position is located in our Boston, MA office in the Seaport district. It is the expectation that the person in this role will work a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) in the office and 2 days per week remotely.
