Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

Iridium is looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for independently delivering high-quality work, driving tasks and projects to completion. This role will partner with our managers and leadership to creatively source open positions, while also advising on various steps of the recruiting process and successfully and expeditiously finding qualified candidates. The Talent Acquisition Business Partner will also develop, research, and identify prospective talent, creating a pipeline of potential future candidates. Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as a partner to hiring managers in regard to their current and upcoming job openings; advises managers throughout the recruiting process including setting expectations, providing effective and timely updates and sharing candidate feedback
Collaborates with hiring managers to create candidate screening and interview questions for open positions
Responsible for full cycle recruiting including initial sourcing and screening of candidates, conducting phone interviews, and coordinating hiring manager and panel interviews
Establishes and fosters relationships with both active and passive candidates
Responsible for tracking candidates throughout the hiring process, including notifying candidates of their status
Continuously develops networking relationships/partnerships that can be frequently leveraged to source quality candidates and leads
Assists in developing and implementing initiatives to recruit top talent by leveraging social media, direct sourcing, internet sourcing, various online job boards, company careers page(s), resume database searching, networking, etc.
Continuously seeks to improve the recruiting process, establish recruiting best practices, and ensure legal compliance is adhered to
Promotes Iridium as a great place to work and provides a great candidate experience throughout the entire talent acquisition process
Proactively researches industry, product and geographical trends in talent acquisition
Assists with drafting offer letters and works with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to establish start dates and initiate onboarding for new hires
Frequently monitors and updates job postings and candidate dispositions in the applicant tracking system (iCIMS) to ensure compliance with various employment laws, EEO regulations, and organizational policies
Works to establish and evolve collaborative relationships and networking opportunities with candidates, hiring managers, business leaders, school representatives, community organizations and 3rd party vendors
Seek opportunities to actively participate in career fairs, industry related staffing events and diversity outreach efforts
Other duties may be assigned by management, as needed

Job Requirements:
Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse set of peers, colleagues, and managers effectively and collaboratively
Comfortably present analysis and/or information confidently to groups within team
Demonstrate active listening and ask substantive, thought-provoking questions
Strong customer service focus, building productive working relationships with both internal and external personnel
Ability to set personal priorities and assist others in executing assigned tasks
Ability to effectively manage upward by managing timeline expectations and proactively communicating status
Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethics
Demonstrate and maintain a depth of current knowledge on legal issues that impact talent acquisition

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

BA or BS degree or equivalent professional experience
5+ years’ experience in full cycle recruiting, preferably with a strong focus on Engineering and Technical recruiting
Proven track record of aggressively meeting or exceeding sourcing objectives to fill positions
Proven success in sourcing and pipelining passive candidates, especially in highly sought after and niche skill-sets
Proven track record of building and developing partnerships with hiring managers and stakeholders up to Director level.
Strong background with web-based recruiting tools, including applicant tracking systems, social media, and job boards
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (especially calendaring), and Teams
Previous experience working with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably iCIMS, is a plus
Previous experience with behavioral and cognitive assessment tools is highly desired; specific experience with Predictive Index is a plus
Ability to travel as needed (1 – 2 trips a year)
