As our SVP, Group Strategy Leader you will…Spark new ways of looking at the world and help drive marketing solutions that address those realities.  You serve as a strategic leader for our life sciences practice, and take a lead in growing our and our client's businesses, partnering to guide our most senior clients toward bold solutions. Be Accountable and ResponsiblePartner with the Life Science Leadership Team and participate as a key leader within internal teams to elevate the impact of brand strategy within the Practice Area Uncover human insights and craft strategies that inspire teams to deliver meaningful workResponsible for narrative development for all accounts within the group. Delivers a broad vision of business / brand change.Take accountability for effective collaboration with clients, creative leads and extended partners, in informal and formal settings (e.g. brand workshops, creative ideation)Responsible for Brand Strategy deliverables including outputs such as: audience insights (e.g. research findings, personas, segmentation), brand strategy (e.g. positioning, brand architecture), and campaign-related assets (creative briefs). You're attuned to learning about new ways of thinking and new technologies that can help support our work for clients.Take on a strategic leadership role in thought leadership and new business efforts. Proactively contribute to help extended teams do their jobs better and support the development and deployment of strategy staff.These are the qualifications we're looking for15+ years in pharma/life sciences [sales, marketing, agency, etc], with 5+ years leadership experienceClient-side experience a plusNatural solutioner who can uncover insights to address strategic challenges and align MERGE capabilities to solve them Prior experience in a strategic role within the life sciences as well as documented  success in launching brands including Deep insight-gleaning Conducting and analyzing research Developing brand positioning and foundational strategyA brand builder who excels at leading strategy for client accounts, you think progressively about the many ways a brand is built today.  A proven ability to enlist and inspire teams in developing culturally relevant ideas.A trusted thought leader who champions and innovates upon brand thinking and approaches to drive to the best outcome. Command of brand strategy and a variety of marketing models; excellent judgment on what tools to use whenExpertise in a range of research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative solutions. Recognizing how agencies tend to have access to the same tools, you're inventive at arriving at fresh customer insightsAn outstanding storyteller, accomplished at inspiring and persuading others.Trusted KDM level relationships at pharma/life science companies in Chicagoland and West coastYou believe that working in true partnership with others leads to the best outcomes.
