The D uke Cannon management team is seeking a Supply Chain Planner who will ensure that the inventory is in the right place, at the right quality, at the right price and at the right time.  You must have a passion to work in a highly dynamic, fast growing, and entrepreneurial environment.   
The ideal candidate has experience purchasing and managing inventory in a fast-paced consumer product goods (CPG) environment, takes pride in being a trailblazer, enjoys being nimble and resourceful in self driven solutions and has a strong sense of urgency.  You must have a track record that demonstrates strong business acumen, ability to assess and mitigate risk, applying processes to solve problems, and championing of solutions.  If you've only worked for a large company with fully integrated planning systems and it sounds like a headache to be part of developing the scalable ERP / planning / purchasing systems needed to support the company's future growth, this role may not be for you.  If you have driven creative solutions in times where all the tools required were unavailable but were able to achieve, successful results, this may be the best fit for you.  Primary Responsibilities: Supplier Management: Monitor/manage supplier performance and support supplier scorecard process Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts Understand supplier capacity, utilization and raise issues Build understanding of supplier lead-times and what the drivers are to ensure timeliness on ordering and order forecasts   Gain full understanding of supplier business and work with supply base to manage risk and optimize costs Issue requests for root cause investigation for supplier non-performance in collaboration with Quality Participate in supplier business reviews quarterly Inventory Management: Drive and develop end to end supply chain execution plan with other members of supply chain team for timely and efficient product delivery to achieve continuous customer satisfaction Own inventory management of Duke Cannon components used at Contract Manufacturing partners Plan both short- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs Project forward-looking inventory positions and financial implications Manage transitional plans to revise or replace components and/or finished goods Set preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventory Communicate potential shortages and find solutions to mitigate Proactively communicate with Sales/Marketing teams in anticipation of supply constraints Monitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production, and distribution Work with distribution partners to ensure accurate inventory levels, balance inventory at all locations, based on demand Manage purchase orders to meet supply requirements (place POs, monitor for on time delivery, ensure pricing is accurate) Forecasting/Demand Planning Support: Partner with suppliers and Demand Planning to secure supply in alignment with demand Provide feedback to Demand Planning team during supply planning process of SI&OP Product Lifecycle & Cost Optimization Support Support new product development process in all supply related requirements Provide guidance to Sales/Marketing for promotional planning with regards to stock exposure and promotional timing to optimize working capital and revenue Support business objectives in cost competitiveness and savings goals Experience and qualifications: REQUIRED: 4+ years of supply planning and/or procurement experience in a fast-paced environment Production Planning and inventory management experience Contract Manufacturing management experience Excellent (written and verbal) communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work with all levels of an organization. Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a collaborative setting Advanced experience in using Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Excel Experience with Tier 2 ERP systems/demand planning/MRP Demonstrated results managing inventory, scheduling, and other job-related functions High capacity to manage/balance time against multiple tasks/priorities Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work through complex issues and present suggestions to solve problems Ability to work under pressure Self-motivation and strong sense of urgency Seeks continuous learning and continuous improvement Passionate about working in a fun and high energy environment High sense of Ownership and Collaboration: Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively across the supply chain, with internal and external business partners Makes sure the needed work gets done seeking priorities where appropriate, self-starter, strong sense of follow up Resourceful: We value being scrappy – i.e., accomplishing objectives with fewer resources At times, the candidate will need to find new and creative ways to achieve goals or help in support of additional job duties PREFERRED:  Plus:  Relevant college degree in Supply Chain or Operations emphasis Plus:  CPIM or other related certification CPG experience preferred, ideally with products/brands sold through food/drug/mass retail channels Company Culture
