Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Product Leader - Sensor Enablement - Edge Connectivity, you will:

Own on Premise Data Collector software to collect data (deployment, configuration, support and data quality check)

Support as first level the customer (Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineers, Ops Leader, Facility management Team) for all issues related to data collection

Serve as the technical expert on technologies related to Asset Connectivity in Manufacturing and Facility Management function

Influence and guide functional business partners & senior leadership through selection of proper technical solutions to meet strategic vision and business requirements

Establish the priority of work to meet objectives

Develop operational rhythms throughout all steering committees, functional teams, and operations teams for reporting progress, risks, and critical action items

Role Summary/Purpose

In this role you will lead Brilliant Factory efforts in the Sensor Enablement Edge Connectivity mainly in Americas region. You will be a part of a cross functional team investigating, creating and supporting digital products in the advance machining, composites, and additive manufacturing spaces. The digital products will improve manufactured product yield as well as increase the overall asset utilization, uptime and efficiency for the Supply Chain Division across the BHGE manufacturing sites.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 7 years of experience as a System Engineer in Industry 4.0 environment including a minimum 4 years of information systems / IT experience)

Minimum 3 years of experience as a System Engineer in Industry 4.0 environment

Eligibility Requirements:

Travel 30% of the time, as required

Legal authorization to work in the USA is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Houston, Texas

Desired Characteristics

Proven knowledge in PLC, SCADA and Industrial protocols (IGS, OPC, MT Connect, Modbus, Proficy Cimplicity / Historian) as well as Predix Machine (Field Agent / MiniFieldAgent)

Experience implementing shop floor automation & control systems for machining asset as well as facility / utilities assets

Strong oral and written communication skills

Oral and written English capabilities

Demonstrated ability to stay current with latest technology trends, and understand impact of new technologies in a business environment
