In the DoD arena, Teledyne sensors are integrated into several major systems for persistent surveillance, chemical detection, and target identification, among others.
Position Summary and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for Program Quality Engineering and Program Mission Assurance
Lead project team from a quality perspective providing input and direction working directly with multi-discipline Engineers and Scientists
Perform Quality Management System maintenance, development, AS9100D audits, and overall improvements
Perform FMEA, Root cause analysis, Fishbone Diagrams, and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns or issues
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance product quality applying Six Sigma, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products are in accordance with approved data
Plan or conduct Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) or Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (HASS), and reliability demonstration
Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) processes
Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)
Reliability Modeling, Allocation, and Prediction
Be a critical systems thinker, capable of understanding how a system operates and using available information to make an informed decision on the effects to the system’s reliability
Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) methods to develop test plans to ensure product robustness and performance
Drive analysis processes for all failures discovered during reliability testing.
Make Reliability assessments of component/ subsystem designs, and influence manufacture / technology selections to ensure mission life reliability targets are achieved
Monte Carlo simulations
MIL-HDBK-217
Support the Quality Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant
Lead Material Review Board (MRB) meetings both internal and at the program level with customers
Manage suppliers’ performance and conduct audits
Travel to conduct Supplier quality audits and Quality Source Inspections
Preparation of QA reports

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
A minimum of five (5) years of directly related quality project lead or mission assurance experience
Quality Engineering experience and ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or ASQ Certified Quality Manager desired
Expert experience using quality inspection tools and equipment such as micrometers, microscopes, CMM, AOI, gauge blocks, etc.
ISO 9001 and/or AS9100D experience and expertise
Experience working with Aviation, Space, and Defense quality standards and requirements including DoD, JPL, NASA, and MIL standards
Experience with Infrared/ROIC Detector Assemblies and Hybrid Electronics
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Be capable of executing/applying root cause analysis at a system level
Possess relevant reliability experience in electrical, electronic, and/or electromechanical product design and development
Ability to read technical drawings, requirements, contracts, specifications, and SOWs.
Working knowledge of Document Control and Configuration Management
Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Acrobat, ERP/MRP, Microsoft Project, and QMS experience
DelTek CostPoint or other ERP experience desired
TiPQA Quality Management Software experience
IPC-610 working knowledge and certification experience with electronic assemblies
IPC J-STD-001 with Space Addendum working knowledge and experience
Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen experience

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Science degree (EE/BS) or related technical field
ASQ CQE and/or ASQ CQM Certification desired
AS9100D Quality auditor training certification
Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain
