Sr. FMLA Administration Analyst Location Alexandria, VA : The selected staff member will support a commercial client in the area of FMLA Administration and Analysis. The work responsibilities are varied and could include independently approving and/or denying FMLA cases based on relevant medical information; coordinating and organizing all medical information and ensuring that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed; reviewing and assessing current FMLA leave practices and propose revisions to improve overall accuracy, consistency, efficiency and communication with stakeholders; and counseling employees, supervisors and management about FMLA rights and responsibilities while maintaining appropriate confidentiality of employee medical information. Additionally, communicating as necessary with employees, supervisors and departments to keep stakeholders informed and up to date through FMLA leave application process, period of FMLA leave, and return to work; coordinating the medically disqualified placement program for employees, and monitoring employees' participation in accordance with applicable policies and bargaining agreements.
Required Skills Must be US Citizen or Green Card Holder Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR, or relevant field 5+ years of experience in leading and managing FMLA and ADA programs/activities in a large organization, with union and non-union populations **Position is in a hybrid setting with 3-days on-site in Alexandria, VA**
