In this role you will conduct needs assessments, select instructional models, and design instructional content.The scope of responsibilities also includes development of instructional materials in consultation with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). You will curate content and teach experts how to generate and share content. You will ensure that instructional design programs are effectively implemented. evaluate content and adjust as required. As a curriculum design SME you will conduct complex instructional design projects.This is an in-office position and requires at least 7 years of instructional design or development experience. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with leadership team and business subject matter experts to design engaging learning that enhances business performancePartner with the business to create clear learning objectives in support of business goalsDesign and develop high-quality learning content to meet the needs of the supported audienceConduct reviews of training materials to ensure learning objectives are met Provide enhancements and revisions to existing materials based on SME/Stakeholder feedbackMaintain current knowledge of latest industry tools and processesCollaborate with assigned Learning & Development (L&D) Staff, Manager(s) and/or Director(s) to create quality training deliverablesMaintain accurate status of projects, milestones, and tasks in the team project tracking toolFacilitate in-person or virtual “train the trainer” sessions Diagnose and escalate risks to design projects to appropriate L& D leaders and stakeholdersCollaborate with leadership team and business subject matter experts to design large-scale, engaging learning that enhances business performance, with minimal supportDesign and develop comprehensive learning solutions, incorporating multiple deliverables, to meet business and performance objectivesCreate and implement evaluation plans to demonstrate business impact of training initiativesAchieve and model team quality standards in all aspects of learning designProactively partner with internal customers to determine performance and training needsIdentify and use a variety of media formats in the design and development of curriculumDesign and develop innovative learning that leverages technology effectively to address business performance and learning needsDesign instruction that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners and groups of learnersManage external resources to maximize cost effectiveness and qualityApply business skills to managing instructional designPromote collaboration, partnerships, and relationships among the participants of a projectServe as a mentor and/or knowledge resource to less experienced designersModel the adoption of ongoing improvements in team processes and standardsDevelop partner relationships with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure the training meets expectations beyond initial implementation.
