Specialist I - Autism Supports, Adults Join our team of caring human service providers! At Family Support Services of Pathlight, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for people of all ages with autism and/or intellectual disabilities to thrive while remaining independent in their own homes. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and creative professional to join our Pioneer Valley Adults program The intent of our Pioneer Valley Adults program is to teach individuals to be as independent as possible by completing tasks with them, not for them. Additionally, many participants work on social skills. The program is person-centered.
In this position, you will: Work with individuals to live independently and make progress on related goals. Implement strategies that foster effective planning and decision making. Track progress and make adjustments to approach as necessary. Celebrate accomplishments encouraging motivation to grow more. Help create a supportive, welcoming atmosphere to form friendships, connections and to enjoy fun activities! Location: Supports and services occur throughout Hampden & Hampshire & Franklin counties. Mileage Reimbursement is included. Most support is delivered in person and virtually if necessary.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 Hours daily, between 9AM-7PM with flexibility to best meet case load needs -that includes adjusting hours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma. Knowledge of autism and treatments through education / training & experience. Over 1 year working with adults with developmental disabilities in an outreach model. Requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation/vehicle. Annual Salary : $41,454.50
