Noverhed, Inc.is currently seeking anCNC Programmer, Operator, Installation Techwith strong customer facing ability. The position will be based inLoudon, TN.
oWorks from prints or drawings to produce a variety of items.
oProduces precision items beyond the capabilities of production machine operators.
oFollows lockout-tagout procedures when machines must be shut down for repair.
oMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
oPerforms prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
oReads and interprets blueprints to plan setup and operation of all types of machine tools.
oPlans setup and operates typical machine shop tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications.
oClean up sweepings of machine tool operation scrap and places in trash bin.
oResponsible for loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, and inspection of quality parts to meet requirements.
oStudies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
oUnload deliveries with forklift as needed.
oBe available at the shop during regular working hours.
oPick up parts from local distributors as needed for projects.
oManage shop inventory keeping parts for each project segregated.
oInstall, troubleshoot, and attend to equipment onsite as required by the project or customer
oPromotes the effective exchange of ideas and information within the Company.
oMaintains contact with vendors for necessary equipment, and supplies.
oMaintain appearance for customers / vendors at all times – outside / inside.
oCommunicates with supervisor for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
oParticipate and lead as appropriate in safety process standards to ensure an injury free work site.
oMust be able to successfully perform the following tasks: milling, turning, drilling, taping, de-burning, bench operations, and inspection.
oMust be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine set-up.
oOffline programming experience required. (Mastercam preferred.)
oSet-up and operation of CNC Mills & Lathes, including 3 and 4 axis CNC machines
oKnowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus
oMust be able to operate all common machine shop equipment and hand tools skillfully.
oMust successfully read and interpret drawings/blueprints for manufacturing in 2D and 3D.
oMust have intermediate knowledge and application of precision measuring instruments. Including but not limited to: calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.
oMust have knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
oMust be able to adapt in a changing work environment.
oMust have understanding of basic math skills to include but not limited to the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
oFormal training in technical applications (i.e. machining, programming and fabrication, etc.) is desired.
