We're looking for an enthusiastic and thoughtful team player with 5+ years of legal experience in global privacy law. As Senior Privacy Counsel, you will evaluate the impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance, enforcement actions on the business and advise the Legal, Product, Privacy Engineering, Trust and Safety Policy, and InfoSec teams accordingly in the creation of processes, policies and products. Senior Privacy Counsel, Responsibilities:Help build and scale the privacy program, including by conducting and operationalizing privacy reviews, DPIAs, and RoPADraft and provide input for privacy notices and policiesAssist with Data Subject Requests and counseling on DSR operationsProvide strategic thinking and tactical guidance on a broad range of privacy issues and initiatives, including product development for a global communityHelp develop and conduct role-specific privacy trainingMinimum Qualifications:Law degree and qualified to practice as an attorney in at least one member state of the European Union5+ years of privacy legal experience, at a top law firm or in-houseIn-depth understanding of global privacy laws, with a focus on EU and the UKFamiliarity with employee privacy in the EU and the UKExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent judgment and analytical skillsAbility to assess risk strategically and help clients manage risk while achieving their goalsProgram/project management skills, including the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projectsStrong interpersonal skills to build relationships with product and engineering teamsPreferred Qualifications:In-depth understanding of advertising technology and ecosystem;Familiarity with data protection laws in Canada, LatAm, and/or APAC;Experience building and scaling risk-based privacy programs at at technology company;Experience with OneTrust or comparable systems.
