Position Overview
Verra Mobility is seeking an exceptional Human Resources Generalist with strong analytical and communication skills. The person in this role is expected to be a conceptual thinker who is detail-oriented, organized, and has developed conflict management skills. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
The role will require an individual with strong decision-making skills and a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and process improvement. Top candidates will be comfortable navigating ambiguous situations-including employee relations situations-effective at scheduling and skilled at identifying and activating process improvements.
Essential Responsibilities
HR Effectiveness, People Policies & Practices -
* Influences managers and supervisors, through effective partnership, to make decisions representing our culture and values of Do What's Right, Lead With Grace, Own It, and Win Together.
* Influence and advise managers and employees to solve business problems, new and complex business tasks, and issues based on Verra Mobility's core values.
* Use and create HR best practices and processes to drive HR effectiveness.
* Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
* Stays up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
Employee Engagement and Well-Being -
* Partners to administer onboarding, employee experience, wellness, and learning and development programs.
Talent and Performance Management -
* Assist in implementing Talent & Performance Management activities including compensation reviews, performance pulses, development plans, employee engagement surveys, and more.
* Provide advice and coaching to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
* Partners with the broader Recruiting team to create efficient and scalable recruiting processes.
* Train managers to understand and use our performance and development philosophy, tools, and systems effectively.
* Ensure standard performance and development processes are in operation (e.g., quarterly goal setting, mid-year and year-end performance reviews, employee potential calibrations, etc.)
* Train others in how to create high quality short- and long-term development plans and understand career paths and requirements (e.g., experiences, competencies, etc.).
* Assist HR Business Partner in preparing and sharing relevant management information (i.e., reporting, reminders, etc.)
* Multiple opportunities to participate and contribute to HR-related projects.
* Other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources
* At least two years of experience working in a HR capacity
* Ability to be proactive, independent, customer-oriented, and creative in problem-solving
* Comfortable in identifying and raising issues and actively partnering in finding a solution
* Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations
* Efficient HR administration and people management skills
* Excellent record-keeping skills
* Knowledge of HR functions and best practices
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
* Superb computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software.
* Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
* Meticulous attention to detail
