Job Description
We are looking for a hands-on senior designer responsible for spearheading the creative development and execution for both the Allure Beauty Box and GQ Box membership marketing efforts. Candidates, ideally with a beauty background, should have experience managing ecommerce creative teams, have excellent communication and organizational skills.
Comfort-level in a high paced environment, overseeing multiple projects concurrently, interfacing with several brand teams and working cross-functionally with different divisions within the company.
Must demonstrate an elevated design aesthetic in keeping with Allure and GQ’s Brand, as well as direct response marketing best practices.
Responsible for the development and execution of Allure Beauty Box visual identity, alignment with overall positioning and brand style guidelines
Manage all print and digital creative as it relates to consumer acquisition efforts
Concept marketing creative and monthly/quarterly advertising to support Allure Beauty Box/GQB membership growth
For Allure Beauty Box, direct projects from concept through completion including the coordination of photo shoots, video shoots, retouching, mechanical production, and ensuring final visuals are held to brand standards
Oversee all creative requests including video production
Implement monthly site updates and partner with acquisition team on performance optimization tactics as needed
Manage freelance designer(s) and video editor on-demand for all creation of assets
Partner with marketing and editorial teams to align on strategic objectives, brand positioning and content creation when applicable
Manage to Allure Beauty Box creative budget
Required Experience/Skills
3+ years managing a team of multidisciplinary designers in a high-paced e commerce environment
Performance-driven with a background in digital design, brand campaign development, messaging and management.
Experience overseeing the creation of multi-channel marketing assets. Fluency in ADA compliant design required.
Adept at motion graphics and animation, understanding of good UX/UI design, basic HTML
Knowledge of direct response best practices and how design influences consumers to take an action
E-commerce background preferred
Technical skills: Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, After-effects, working knowledge of G Suite, project management systems.
