• Process referrals and prior authorizations• Provide education and customer service• Perform insurance verification and authorization• Monitor charge capture process• Handle patient inquiries and resolve issues• Schedule evaluation appointments• Maintain professional behavior• Communicate departmental information to customers• Initiate required reports• Assist with cash handling and float to other departments as needed
Requirements
• Associate's degree in business or healthcare, or equivalent experience• Standard office computer and keyboarding experience• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills• Knowledge of medical terminology• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred• Knowledge of insurance and managed care practices preferred
