Job Description:
Square is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Remote PR Associate based in San Antonio, Texas. As an Associate Level PR professional with at least 3 years of experience, you will be responsible for supporting the public relations efforts of the company by developing and executing PR campaigns, writing press releases, pitching stories to media outlets, and building relationships with key journalists and influencers.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute public relations campaigns to promote Square's products and services- Write press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials- Pitch stories to media outlets and secure coverage for Square- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers- Monitor media coverage and report on PR metrics- Assist with crisis communications and issues management- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product, and legal, to ensure consistent messaging- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify PR opportunities for Square
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field- At least 3 years of experience in public relations- Strong written and verbal communication skills- Excellent problem-solving and leadership abilities- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PR software- Experience with media monitoring tools is a plus
