Role Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager – INDC will be responsible for developing and effectively managing industrial and utility customer accounts in the Region. In this role, you will sell GE’s Lentronics and MDS solutions, as well as develop, maintain, and grow channel partnerships for the Utilities Market

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Regional Sales Manager – INDC, you will:
Be accountable for meeting or exceeding an established OP plan
Develop and execute commercial strategy for sales of Lentronics / MDS equipment and adjacent tie in product lines
Own the accurate forecasting of orders and convertible orders for your account package and reflect that in
Coordinate with GE Power sales personnel across the region to implement joint account strategies and close synergy orders
Develop and execute an overall growth strategy with integrated plays for Meters and Sensing across the region
Develop strategic customer relationships with key decision makers in support of the sales teams strategic direction
Drive identification, prospecting and creation of new sales opportunities
Support your customers in sales activities and provide assistance to them in identifying new opportunities
Coordinate activities and provide leadership to establish individual sales strategies obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing and delivery
Negotiate contracts as required
Maintain knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base
Work with Marketing to develop project specific sales strategies for assigned customers
Provide feedback to the leadership team to drive continued growth
Manage expenses within a given budget
Maintain and grow channels in your region

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related technical discipline from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience within the Energy industry)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sales / Commercial Operations
Minimum of 1 year of experience within the Energy / Utilities industry
Ability and willingness to work in a range of environments, to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
Ability and willingness to travel within MidWest territory (TX, OK, AR, LA, NM, KS, MO)
Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license / satisfactory driving record
Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time

Desired Characteristics:
Minimum of 2 years of prior sales success in industrial communications market (i.e., Telecom)
Experience / familiarity with communications industry customers and their overall system operations processes
Successful sales leadership experience with high value, high price system sales to senior leadership
In-depth knowledge of the industrial applications for product lines and markets
Experience developing relationships at all levels within an organization
Existing executive-level contacts at one or more accounts in the region
Comfortable / experienced with cold calling new targeted customers
Consistent track record of meeting performance objectives
Electric Utility industry experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
