Role Summary:
The Quality Compliance Engineer will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In the role of Quality Systems Engineer, you will integrate and maintain Quality System processes that meet business needs across the Lynn Component Manufacturing organization, manage procedural compliance issues within local functional areas as well as Regulatory and Certifying Agencies (FAA / Defense Contract Management Agency / DNV ISO 9001 / AS9100 Registrars)
Essential Responsibilities:
In addition, as the Quality Compliance Engineer, you will:
Ensure continuous readiness in Maintaining ISO Certification requirements
Lead initiatives to improve compliance with Headquarters Quality System requirements
Support Plant Quality Leaders and Manufacturing / Quality Engineers on interpretation of Quality requirements
Represent site as local Quality Systems / ISO representative
Lead Local Audit Team members in all aspects of internal auditing requirements including scheduling and tracking performance in Audits Management System
Perform Special Process Audits
Perform ISO Element Audits
Generate and maintain local Policies and Procedures in Aviation Policies and Procedures System
Escort external auditors (Headquarters / FAA / DCMA / DNV)
Establish Corrective Action responses for external audit findings
Coach Plant Quality Leaders and Manufacturing / Quality Engineers and local audit team on digital Quality applications (Customer Returns, Audits Management, Corrective Action Preventive Action, Characteristic Accountability Verification, etc.)
Track and communicate key Quality Systems metrics (product audits, internal audit performance, corrective action performance, customer returns performance)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality)
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Desired Characteristics:
Special Process Knowledge (Non-Destructive Test, Nonconventional Machining, NADCAP)
Recognized Auditor Accreditation (ASQ Fundamentals of auditing on-line course, etc.)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements
Experience in writing and interpretation of Quality procedures
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong computer applications skills
Ability to influence others and achieve team concurrence
Ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
