Job Title: Quality Assurance Tech I Location: Seattle, WA Duration: 6 Months Job Type: Contract Work Type: Hybrid Job Description: We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position.
The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking websites. QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment.
During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 2-4 years industry experience testing software, including website applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle
Experience is developing and executing test plans, test cases
Experience on using test management tools like Testrail etc is desired
Experience with HTML, JavaScript, Java and SQL is desired, but not required.
Experience with Selenium highly desired
Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects Business Group: Projects: Supporting 3 products divided into 3 teams per products. Engineers will be working with existing team to work alongside them initially to support testing of products. Depending on performance may end up working independently.
Typical Day in the Role: Extension: Possibility Conversion to FTE: Possibly based on HC approval and business needs / performance
Interaction with team: Daily start up meeting to provide updates and plan for day / next day.
Engineers attend meetings to learn more about what is going on with products / issues / tasks Communication with stake holders as well prior to execution of tasks.
Also need to be able to work with SDE/Product teams as well to communicate through issues.
