Project Engineer, Standards & Regulations Work Mode: Hybrid Location: Hybrid at Kohler, WI Opportunity A Project Engineer in this role is a technical contributor who will support and communicate product compliance requirements and support innovative product development with guidance on applicable global standards and regulations. A Project Engineer in this role will: Provide technical support to the business through expertise of global regulations and standards related to Kohler products Coordinate certification and compliance activities with government and independent test agencies Support activities with Product Development teams to prepare, implement, and maintain certification strategies for global products Develop and improve tools and processes to optimize and drive for continuous improvement Specific Responsibilities Collaborate with Design Engineering and Marketing on New Product Development as a resource for applicable product regulations and testing requirements Review and evaluate proposed changes to existing products for risks to certifications and compliance with global requirements With support from global team, maintain accurate files of codes, standards, laws, rules and other necessary documentation for markets served by Kohler products Develop and maintain technical files to support global access to markets for product performance, environmental, and chemical regulations such as CE, UKCA, REACH, and WEEE Provide clear and concise feedback and information relating to standard changes in a timely manner to key business decision makers Collaborate with Kohler Co. and Kohler Energy Compliance team on global topics and alignment with best practices across the businesses Skills/Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related Engineering field is required Minimum two years of related work experience, such as product development, manufacturing, or quality systems Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, with both verbal and written skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with global product certification, regulations, standards, or test procedures is preferred Experience working collaboratively within global cross-functional teams is preferred Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range for this position is $83,300 - $105,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
