Prototype Technician, Battery Cell

We are currently seeking a test technician to support the testing infrastructure needs of the battery cell team. You will work closely with engineers and senior technicians to support the rapidly expanding battery lab. Because we are expanding so rapidly, you will find new challenges and growth opportunities that you can't find at most companies.The Role:Work with engineers and technicians to build and assemble test fixtures and wire harnessesInstall, set up,perform preventative maintenance, andpandcalibrate new test equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve issues with testing equipmentOrganize and maintain the battery lab space, equipment, and inventoryHelp manage parts inventory and organizationProactively identify areas of improvement through equipment procurement and automationPeriodically assist test operations teamwith runningbattery celltestsQualifications:A basic understanding of lithium-ion battery safety and electrical hazards Experience setting up and maintaining lab equipment (environmental chambers, power supplies, plumbing, pneumatics)Solid understanding of basic mechanical skills, machine shop tools, and safetyBasic electrical knowledge/skill including fine pitch solderingExcellent communication skills and team-oriented attitudeDetail-oriented and comfort with online collaboration and documentationClean and organized working styleAbility to deliver consistently high-quality results when working on repetitive tasksExperience with MS OfficeMinimum3 years experience in an R&D or testing environmentCandidates will take a skills test tovalidate these qualifications are metPreferred:CATIA/Solidworks experiencePrevious battery cell testing experienceusing ArbinorMaccorcyclersExperiencewithPython,Matlab,Arduino, Eagleor similar softwareFacilities experienceExperience working near or around high-voltage equipment
