After School Matters is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization that offers after-school and summer programs to high school teens.Program Specialist role reporting to the Director of Program Supports.Responsibilities include logistical support for special projects and program management.Entry-level position with a focus on program implementation, enhancement, and outreach.

Responsibilities
• Provide key supports for special initiatives and events.• Assist with program management and logistics.• Develop and maintain relationships with program partners and instructors.• Recruit and select instructors and program providers.• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.• Troubleshoot program implementation issues.• Collect and enter data into the database system.• Participate in program closings and demonstrations of learning.• Support project management and strategic initiatives.• Coordinate with internal departments for scheduling and events.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required.• 3+ years of experience in education and/or nonprofits.• 1-2 years of project and/or event planning experience.• Commitment to the youth of Chicago.• Availability for evenings and weekends.• Valid Driver's License, insured transportation, and satisfactory driving record.
