Full job description Description: Professional Licensed Surveyor
A multi-disciplined engineering, architecture, surveying, and environmental consulting firm comprised of a group of professional individuals who are dedicated to client service, exceeding our clients' expectations and fostering personal and professional growth through active contributions to our team environment. Because of our growth and expanding client relationships, we are seeking to add a Professional Land Surveyor to our team.
SUMMARY
The ideal candidate(s) at this level are accountable for planning, organizing, budgeting, and allocating resources and serve as project manager. The primary focus of a position at this level is on the management of other managerial and/or supervisory staff, which includes recruitment, training, development, and performance management. Successful candidate(s) would be responsible for the overall results of the assigned organizational units including developing plans for the assigned organizational units, identifying objectives, delegating authority as needed to the relevant teams and providing necessary resources to achieve organizational objectives.
QUALFICATIONS
Licensed as a Land Surveyor, a
6 or more years of experience in surveying,
Experience in managing others in a supervisory/managerial role. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge of management, proposal writing and budget process.
Skill in managing projects is a plus.
Meet with clients and mentor junior staff.
Act as a positive representative of the company and personify its core values.
Perform boundary, easement, deed and title review.
Perform detailed ALTA boundary and topographic surveys.
Manage field assignments and schedule survey crews.
Perform QA/QC for all field surveys.
Coordinate client and contractor requests for land surveys and construction stakeouts.
Perform calculations of Horizontal and Vertical Control.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Professional Land Surveyor License (PLS) or Land Surveyor In-Training (LSIT).
Field survey and office survey experience.
Attention to detail.
Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
