Production Supervisor Swing Shift

Seattle Gourmet Foods is looking for the right person to fill the position of Production Supervisor on our Swing Shift Monday through Thursday 10 hours per day with the expectation that there are overtime opportunities on Fridays and Saturdays. We are looking for candidates who want to lead a team, are familiar with food safety protocols and have a love of chocolate. The primary responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to lead the production team and to ensure the lines run efficiently, meeting all production goals and objectives. Safety is critical so you will also ensure the team performs all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant. This is a hands on position. EDUCATION EXPERIENCE SKILLS: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.  Confectionary or process industry background is a plus. 5+ years production/processing experience preferred. 2+ years lead experience preferred.  Position requires an understanding of food safety, quality, and SQF fundamentals.  Must be able to work around allergens such as tree nuts, dairy, and soy.  Computer proficiency. High level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products. Ability to read, speak, and write English. Multi-lingual is a plus.  Mathematical aptitude to work with formulas and measures required to perform job functions described.  The ability to work with groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise, and backgrounds.  Ability to achieve results through others.  Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.  Ability to push, pull, lift, and/or move 50 pounds and be able to operate a pallet jack. Compensation and Benefits: The work schedule is Mon-Thurs (4) 10-hour shifts. Starting pay $24 /hour DOE.
