Our Lush stafflive with purpose, finding their personal value connection with the values of our business, bringing their work and life paths into one holistic journey.#mylushlifeReporting to the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations and Regulatory Affairs, the Product and Legislative Assurance Manager undertakes the followingRESPONSIBILITIES:Leadership and Team ManagementLead and develop a diverse team responsible for supporting the business in quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices (including incoming raw material quality inspection), and quality metricsPlan and develop clear objectives for the team, providing direction and support to achieve KPIs and quality goalsProvide leadership to the quality team and participate in active quality investigations, root cause analysis, risk management, CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Actions) documentation and implementation, and internal auditsRegulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:Ensures compliance with Canadian and US regulatory requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in two of our Canadian factories Support the Incoming Raw Material Quality Program, working with global counterparts to develop this program further, providing guidance on testing in relation to raw material technical specificationsStay up-to-date on domestic and global regulatory trends, laws, and guidance documents. Collaborate with our Regulatory Manager to leverage insights to proactively adapt our Quality Management Program, ensuring our products meet evolving standards.Oversees all product commercialization initiatives from a quality perspective, including establishing/maintaining various product attributes, laboratory analysis, etc, and ensuring products meet consumers' quality expectations and regulatory standards before releaseCollaboration and Innovation:Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, product teams, and regulatory affairs, aligning quality assurance strategies with business objectives Partner with manufacturing teams to integrate and execute comprehensive finished product testing processes, ensuring the maintenance of superior quality standards across all production linesMaintain a positive and cooperative communication style, and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, counterparts, and vendorsYou bring the followingQUALIFICATIONS:Required:7+ years of industry experience in Quality Assurance, including 3-5 years of people management experience within the quality functions in the Food, Cosmetic, or Natural Health Product sectorsStrategic thinker with extensive knowledge of operations in North American quality environments, gained through formal and informal training, interactions, research, and experience, as well as detailed knowledge of relevant guidelines and policy documentsStrong communication skills and collaboration skillsProven experience in leading teams, facilitating development, and promoting an inclusive work cultureExperience with change management processes, influencing, and negotiationAdaptability skills and experience in managing in a fast-paced and changing work environmentProficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Preferred:Bachelor's Degree in a scientific disciplineKnowledge of ISO standards Thriving within a diverse company culture, celebrating the uniqueness of our staff, and committed to inclusion.
