Job Description: U.S. Pipe and Foundry is seeking a Process Engineer Intern. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with investigating, developing, installing, auditing, and recommending improvements in production processes to achieve maximum production at or below budget costs to confirm to company, industry, or customer quality specifications.
This internship can lead to a full-time at will employment opportunity as US Pipe.
Essential Functions: Work with engineering team to develop processes for the manufacture of new and existing products. Work with production supervisors on new processes and process changes. Consults with supervisors of other areas to correct causes of production problems and coordinate production activities. Performs other administrative activities, as assigned by supervisor. Skills & Other Requirements: Currently pursuing a college degree of a technical nature, majority either in chemistry, metallurgy or chemical engineering or the equivalent degree. Proficient in PC skills, ability to multi-task and excellent written skills are required. Team player and ability to work with others.
