Position Summary

MAG is looking to fill a critical role for a Pricing Analyst II at our Titinon Falls, NJ Office. This position will report directly to our Sr. Director of Business Management and be responsible for preparing timely, accurate and compliant cost proposals.

The Pricing Analyst II will collaborate closely with multiple MAG personnel and possible Sub / Prime Contractor finance elements while generating pricing / cost narratives in our proposal response to Government Solicitations / Contracts. The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of proposal pricing within the DoD and related market segments, with a sharp attention to detail and a keen awareness of current market conditions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to
Assist in cost estimating and development of Basis of Estimates for cost proposals
Responsible for creating internal and external price sheets
Works with the proposal team to develop cost volume schedules and supporting documentation to justify cost realism/reasonableness
Works closely with Capture/Business Development, Contracts, Purchasing, Human Resources and Operations to ensure accuracy of cost proposals
Participates in pricing and BD Gate reviews with upper management and coordinates with senior staff to determine pricing structure and strategy
Support proposal clarifications, justifications, and negotiations
Contribute to the standardization of tools that result in compliant/quality pricing proposal
Work with Primes and subcontractors during pricing proposal development
Color team reviewer of other team members pricing proposals
Support post award program financials and contract actions as required
Support contract modifications as directed by the US Government

Requirements

Required:
3-5 years’ experience with pricing for Government Solicitations and Proposals
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel building formulas (INDEX, VLOOKUP, IF THEN summaries, Macros)
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
Knowledge of how to dissect cost / pricing requirements out of a Government Solicitation.
Ability to work flexible hours when dictated by proposal deadlines
Knowledge of different contract, solicitation, and agreement types to include Time and Materials, Firm Fixed Price, and Cost Reimbursable contracts.
Working knowledge of the FAR; ability to read and understand prime contracts
Understanding of financial management concepts such as funding, revenue, cost, profit, billed AR, unbilled AR, subcontracts, consultants, purchase orders, etc.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer service and collaborative team environment.
Must be able to work well in a team-based environment.

Preferred:
3-years finance experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, TM1, VPC
1-3 years’ experience pricing in the aerospace industry
