We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Yi Zhu's laboratory in the Department of Physiology and Biomedical Engineering. This role offers a unique chance to engage with a vibrant health and neuroscience community at Mayo Clinic, fostering significant opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration that can broaden your research horizons. Supported by NIH grants, the position focuses on exploring the impact of senescent cells on the progression of Alzheimer's disease, utilizing both transgenic animal models and postmortem human samples to investigate senescent microglia and AD pathology. This position involves a diverse array of methodologies, including animal modeling, histology, molecular biology, and genetic analysis, offering extensive growth and development opportunities.
Applicants should possess a PhD or MD, with a strong background in neuroscience. Experience in Next Generation Sequencing, single-cell transcriptomics, and other omics technologies is crucial, along with a foundational understanding of statistics and data analysis. We value creative thinking, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
