Job Description:
Trinity Industries is seeking a motivated and energetic Operations Associate to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This part-time, entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the operations field at a leading industrial company. The Operations Associate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity within the organization.
Responsibilities:- Assist with the coordination of daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and quality control- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency- Conduct data analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions- Support the implementation of new systems and technologies to enhance operations- Handle administrative tasks as needed, such as filing, documentation, and record-keeping- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations- Travel to different locations as needed to support operations initiatives- Actively participate in training and development opportunities to continuously learn and grow in the role
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field- 1 year of experience in operations or a related field preferred- Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem-solve effectively- Excellent cooperation and communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software- Motivated, energetic, and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment- Must be willing to travel and occasionally work outside of regular business hours
