Responsibilities
• Perform Micro Analysis on Finished Products, Incoming Ingredients, and other samples from processing and packaging• Verify conformance of test results to specifications• Collect samples from different locations of the plant to determine area of concerns• Work with QA Supervisors in conducting plant micro audits• Record micro results and evaluate for accuracy and consistency• Notify QA Supervisor, QA Manager, and operations of products that are out of specification• Calibrate and maintain lab equipment• Clean, sanitize, and sterilize lab tools and supplies• Maintain an organized and clean work area• Maintain daily effective personal hygiene
Requirements
• Working knowledge of microbial testing and laboratory equipment• Solid knowledge of laboratory safety• General understanding of food safety and food quality• General understanding of food laws and regulations• Mathematics and scientific weights and measurements• Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)• Ability to perform microbial testing and interpret test results• Ability to use microscope and stereoscope• Accurate mathematical and scientific calculations• Problem-solving ability and high sense of urgency
