Role Summary:
The Merchant Business Service Leader - North America will be responsible for all activities associated with the Merchant Marine Service Business. You will lead GE Power Conversion Merchant Service Business meeting or exceeding budgets for profit and loss, service orders, revenue, contribution margin and cash. You will set the regional strategy to maximize customer experience while growing the business as a profitable segment.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Merchant Business Service Leader, you will:
Be responsible for EHS and quality across the segment utilizing corporate resources to provide domain expertise
Be responsible for order, revenue, margin and cash KPIs
Be responsible for leading the office in Florida
Implement an effective operating rhythm to be able to report KPI’s weekly, monthly and quarterly
Lead the fleet management, project management, and field service teams within the segment
Lead profitable growth by adding and training qualified field resources, supporting fulfillment objectives and driving utilization
Provide effective support of customer requirements and lead development of relationships with key customers including Cruise, Ferry, and Tanker industries
Manage project execution for all service contracts in the segment
Interface with the COE to introduce CMU initiatives to the region
Execute CMU initiatives using regional resources and supply chain
Deliver on all contract aspects for long term service agreements in place with our customers
Be responsible for the customer management team, and field service engineers associated with the segment

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in a marine or offshore environment
Minimum of 5 years experience with power & propulsion systems on commercial marine vessels

Desired Characteristics:
Leadership experience in a technical environment
Detailed knowledge of cruise ship industry
Resourceful and ability to work in matrix environment
Knowledge of GE Power Conversion information systems
Self- directed and highly motivated
Proven growth leadership
Strong team building skill set
Capability to present technical and operational strategies to internal and external customers
Ability and willingness to travel domestic and internationally as required
