Position Summary and Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and implementation of relay component and relay assembly operations in the production areas to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply – runs daily relays status reports.
Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas - reviews/revises weekly shipment date and delinquency reports, review/revises milestone and delivery reports with the Sales Dept.
Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
Verifies manufacturing and test equipment is running, calibrated and have been stamped off by Metrology for production use.
Drives record retention management for manufacturing.
Verify records and logs are up to date and complete to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies and Teledyne standards.
Runs and logs monthly solder sample analysis to ensure compliance with Teledyne standards.
Sets-up and maintains files for departmental purchases for all direct reports – conduct negotiations to purchase items (as needed).
Makes decisions to hire/terminate/ train personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
Approves times out/off and oversees technician operations.
Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies – maintains department matrices.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in assembly/manufacturing
Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Basic Knowledge of ISO and/or AS9100.
Familiarity with supply chain management concepts such as KanBans, VMI, and Min-Max.
Ability to multi-task through varied, concurrent projects is required.
Ability to manage and work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and cultures is important.
Ability to resolve internal issues and conflicting priorities in manufacturing is crucial.
Candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
To perform this job successfully, candidate should have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP Software, and GANT Charts.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Experience in substrate deposition, wire-bonding and IC packaging would be a plus.
