As a Localization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in adapting our product and marketing materials to effectively cater to the French and Spanish-speaking markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and reviewing content, ensuring cultural relevance, and addressing specific market needs to enhance our brand presence and user experience.Responsibilities:Translation and Review:Translate product documentation, user interfaces, and marketing materials from English to French and Spanish, ensuring accuracy, fluency, and cultural appropriateness.Review and edit translated content to maintain consistency and high quality standards.Create and maintain linguistic assets such as glossaries and style guides.Implement SEO best practices in localized content to enhance search engine visibility and ensure optimal performance in local search results.Adaptation of Product and Marketing Materials:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to adapt product features and functionalities to meet the cultural and linguistic preferences of the target markets.Modify marketing strategies to align with local trends, ensuring the content resonates with the target audience.Cultural Sensitivity and Market Understanding:Stay informed about cultural nuances, trends, and preferences in the French and Spanish-speaking markets.Provide insights and recommendations to the team on how to best tailor content to local audiences.Quality Assurance:Conduct thorough testing of localized content to identify and address any linguistic or functional issues.Collaborate with QA teams to ensure the overall quality of the localized product.Communication and Collaboration:Work closely with vendors and internal teams, including product managers, marketing professionals, and developers, to ensure a seamless localization process.Act as a liaison between the global and local teams, facilitating effective communication and understanding of market-specific requirements.Qualifications:Native proficiency in French and Spanish, with excellent command of EnglishBachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Marketing, or related field3+ years of experience in localization, translation, or a related fieldStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality standardsFamiliarity with localization tools and softwareCultural sensitivity and awareness of market-specific trends.Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, and stay focused in a fast-paced environmentExperience in translating technical documentation is a plusUS Employee BenefitsVerkada is committed to investing in the holistic health and wellbeing of all employees and their families.
