About UsHitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the Construction, Mining and Forestry industries.The OpportunityA new opportunity has been created for a trade qualified Leading Hand to join our team based at Murrin Murrin. Working a day shift on an 8/6 FIFO roster, this permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. In this role you will:Lead a team of Site Technicians to meet, deliver and exceed service expectationsDrive efficiency within the team to meet tight deadlines whilst ensuring employees comply with all WHS responsibilities and that a safety first culture is a consistent behaviour within the departmentLiaise with technical support staff and coordinating diagnostic, maintenance and repairs as a valued team memberPerform maintenance servicing and repairs on a wide range of quality Hitachi mining equipmentUndertake fault finding and diagnostic workAttend to onsite breakdownsTo be successful in this role you will:Ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed and driven from within - safety takes priority over everything elseHave previous experience leading a team to achieve and exceed set goalsDemonstrated work experience and technical knowledge within a mine site is essentialHold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) mobile plant trade qualificationsHave good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationshipsHave the ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero reworkExcellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment would be highly advantageousBenefitsWhat's in it for you?
