Position Summary and Responsibilities

You will serve as the Lead Technical Writer-Editor managing policies and procedures for Technical Equipment Publication activities in support of the Joint CBRN Enterprise Stakeholders of the DEVCOM CBC. Directs the development, preparation, and validation of CBRN system technical manuals for the Department of Army programs. Coordinate the work of equipment developers, designers, and technicians in developing effective, accessible formats, as well as illustrations to augment the written material. Assist in the coordinating policy, planning, scheduling, preparation, verification, and printing of technical publications across multiple DoD organizations.
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Technical Writing/Editing experience in support of DoD projects or systems.

Working knowledge of Government documentation standards and publishing concepts, standards and technologies for the media used.

Experience with development, production, and verification of DoD Technical Publications including electronic technical manuals (ETM) and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).

Demonstrated ability to work with technical professionals and project leads to produce required technical documents under time constraints.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write in a clear and concise manner to convey information to a variety of audiences is paramount.

Must hold DoD security clearance at the Secret level.
