Lab Technician

The Ameriforge Quality Department is in search of a Lab Technician. This position is responsible for conducting laboratory tests to established standards to ensure that only conforming products are transferred/shipped to our internal/external customers.ResponsibilitiesInterprets blueprints, work orders, drawings, and work instructions.Works with customers or customer representatives to achieve testing goals.Coordinates testing activities associated with outside sources.Works with QA and Production personnel to obtain samples for testing. When necessary, performs test specimen machining for laboratory testing. Performs mechanical and/or nondestructive testing in accordance with specifications. Diagnose test failures and initiate corrective action.Documents tests and enters results into database.Ensures compliance with the MRB scrap disposition approval guidelines.Follow company policies and procedures.Support and/or participate in the organization's Continuous Improvement Programs Proactively participates in the AFG Holdings Safety ProgramOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
