Become a part of our team and immerse yourself in a company that fosters a Great Place to Work™ culture!Velocity Vehicle Group is looking for an Intermediate Level Fleet Technician to join our team in Fontana, CA for following hours: Tuesday - Friday between 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM and Saturday between 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM!What You'll Do:The Intermediate Level Fleet Technician is a position that will manage and perform the maintenance and repairs of equipment for that location. They will be in direct contact with the customer and be the primary day to day contact for that location. Identifying, performing and managing major and minor repairs both in house and sublet with little to no supervision in accordance with Federal, State, and corporate guidelines. The Intermediate Level Fleet Technician will provide the highest level of mechanical & electrical experience in all areas. They will be an expert in all vehicles major and minor components and systems. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or its equivalent required Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred 6 years' experience in mechanical inspections and repairs in a related field Must have valid Class B Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 90 days Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas TRAINING / SKILLS REQUIRED:4 plus years experience in a related field of Heavy Truck repairs Class B Commercial Driver's License Prior 3rd party or company provided training Advanced knowledge and full understanding of Heavy-Duty Electrical systems utilizing the proper Diagnostic Tools Able to identify the root cause of failures / conditions on all systems and components along with performing the repairs as required Major component rebuilds and replacement experience in engine, transmission, and axle systems Must be CFC 609 Certified Welding and light fabrication experience Acts as a mentor to lesser qualified Technicians Actively seek and participate in available training to enhance personal development and stay on top of new systems and repair practices Participates in specific training programs as prescribed by VTRL BASIC TECHNICAL UNDERSTANDING:Ability to follow all written and oral instructions, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Job Knowledge Ability to always implement and work in a strong safety environment Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times Ability to lift a Maximum of 75lbs Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at timesMust be able to pass post offer drug test, and physicalCompensation:Hourly $35.00-$38.00 depending on experience and qualificationsFull Time position?
