12 Month Position Details: Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, as the Fiscal Analyst 2 you will be responsible for Cash, Fixed Assets, Notes, Land & Real Estate, and Related Entities. You will also assist in the management of all fiscal support functions. Your duties will include preparing and posting transactions to the Foundation's general ledger systems (AccuFund), and WSU's financial system (Workday); preparing customized reports per request; preparing reconciliations; and preparing audit deliverables. Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions: 80% Accounting
15% Audit Analysis
5% Other Duties as Assigned
Monthly Salary: Range 44 | $3,700 to $4,968 | (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 . WSU offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: paid sick and vacation leave; paid holidays; medical, dental, life and disability insurance package for employees and dependents; retirement; deferred compensation and optional supplemental retirement accounts. This is a permanent position. Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, which must include 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting and one year of relevant professional experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Experience analyzing and interpreting financial data and preparing financial reports, statements and/or fiscal projections.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft software programs such as Outlook, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint; in addition to other database applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience auditing, reconciling, and analyzing data.
Experience working within a higher education setting.
Accounting experience that involves balancing large dollar accounts with large number of transactions.
Experience working with contracts.
