The Expeditor is responsible for setting the pace and flow in the expo/kitchen area. Ensures that a table’s orders are completed together and on time and conducts quality control. Responsible for sending out food orders in a prompt, efficient manner and above all ensuring everything is high quality and meets Oaklawn standards. Ensure the organization, traffic flow and cleanliness of the Expediter area, and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
Responsible for ensuring that all guest receive food orders to the high standards as outlined in Oaklawn’s recipe procedures.
Superior guest service and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to remember the menu items as well as know standard plate presentation.
Must be able to stand, walk, and move for long periods of time.
Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Periodically check all foods; hot and cold to ensure temperature, quality, presentation, and consistency is met through-out all hours of operation.
Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stand and work in a kitchen environment.
