Redpath USA Corporation a premier full-service underground mining contractor is in search of an Estimator to join our team.Project:Kennecott Utah Copper ProjectLocation:Bingham (Salt Lake City), UTCompensation:Redpath USA Corporation offers competitive and comprehensive wages and benefits.Conditions of Employment:Acceptable results relating to mandatory drug test, background check, medical physical and compliance with Redpath health and safety requirements.Job Description:In conjunction with the Estimating Department, the Estimator is responsible for developing project estimates, budgets, schedules, and proposal documents based on the latest available costing methodology and data. These documents are used for winning and supporting the execution of new work.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering field is required.Bachelor's degree Mining Engineering, Mining Technician, or Surveying is considered an asset.1-2 years experience with underground mining operations and engineering is preferred.Demonstrated ability to work with numbers and evaluate factors that influence pricing and schedules.Proficiency in estimating and scheduling software and experience working with Primavera and InEight Suite considered an asset. Responsibilities:Analyze drawings, designs, specifications, and tender documentation to prepare schedules, cost estimates and proposal documents.Schedule and modify activities for project(s) as required.Apply labor, equipment, and material requirements to each estimate.Solicit quotations from vendors and subcontractors.Consult with vendors and specialists to discuss and receive input that is relevant to the conditions of the project being bid.Assist and support project management to ensure continuity between tender, construction and project completion.May be required to supervise and mentor less experienced estimators.If you are looking for an exciting opportunity and to build a career in an innovative and dynamic organization, submit your resume by clicking on Apply Now below.
