We are an established, reputable, and growing GC looking for an estimator to join our team for the long term.
Estimator position overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will ensure that construction projects are estimated in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction field, along with a good understanding of the estimating process. Additionally, the candidate should have experience with tenant improvement, warehouse, commercial, ground up, retail, and fit out projects.
Estimator key responsibilities:
Analyze scope of work for projects and develop takeoff materials for accurate estimates Perform cost analysis and value engineering on projects Prepare estimates for potential and existing projects Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings Meet with subcontractors to acquire pricing and understand scope of work Analyze and compare subcontractor bids Prepare final estimates for review and approval Review and understand contracts, plans, and specifications Work with internal team to develop accurate cost estimates Verify accuracy of bid documents Estimator qualifications:
3+ years of experience estimating in the construction industry at a GC Knowledge of Tenant Improvement, Warehouse, Commercial, Ground Up, and/or retail projects Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Benefits -Competitive Salary 90-120K depending on experience
