Job Summary 13;

The Epic Credentialed Trainer is responsible for delivering end:user training for physicians, other clinicians, and non:clinical staff to develop competence in the use of clinical and business information systems and other computer software applications for various clinical areas and departments within the hospital and clinics.. This individual will serve as a primary educator and support analyst between the EMR and associated system applications and end users. Trainers will provide Tier Level II technical assistance in the Help Desk, along with on:site customer support in customer departments, providing workflow instructions, and recommending solutions to meet department needs. This role will coordinate and resolve system problems related to technology used by end users and will serve as the primary physician educator and support. He/She will also assist in creation and validation of training tools which support the education of system users, and in measuring user competency as well as effectiveness of the training program. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision, work weekends and varied hours, and be able to travel to varying hospital and outpatient locations.

This is a non:management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Education 13;

Bachelors Degree : General Education. Information services, health administration, business administration, health sciences or professional field preferred.

Minimum Experience 13;

No prior experience required

Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable) 13;

Once hired, Trainer must meet the training requirements for Epics best practice recommendation and associated credentialing must be obtained within 42 days from program initiation.

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements 13;

Associates degree in related field with 2 years workforce experience(experience in healthcare, technology, front office or finance preferred) OR High School diploma and 4 years of workforce experience (healthcare, technology, front office or finance experience preferred).

Other Required Experience 13;

Experience as a trainer or super user of a clinical information system : Preferred

Knowledge of the concepts, standards and practices relating to adult learning, continuing education and educational effectiveness :Preferred

Working knowledge of ambulatory physician practice highly desired : Preferred

Successfully obtain and maintain Credentialed level of expertise in Epic based presentation(s) and competency exam(s):Required

In:depth knowledge of workflow design and processes, and the important functionality supporting the workflows: Preferred

Adult education experience : Preferred
