The Editorial Assistant, Justice Programs,is a junior associate that supports consulting projects by providing technical writing and editing support and creating compelling presentations and deliverables. They have outstanding communications skills, great attention to detail, and are interested in criminal justice. This position requires at least 3years of relevant experience and a readiness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic mission environment.
Hybrid Work Environment: Arc Aspicio is currently operating in a hybrid work environment where employees work at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. Candidates must live in the Washington, DC area on their start date, ready to work with their team.Responsibilities Support consulting projects in a dynamic environment, collaborating with team members and clients on fast-paced projects and provides outstanding deliverablesWrites, edits, and structures complex documents and applies excellent editing and document management best practices to support outstanding work productsCreates and edits presentations to provide compelling presentations to clientsSupport workstreams, lead and support deliverables, and promote continuous improvementLove to learn complex mission areas in law enforcementDevelop consulting skills and help grow the company outside of your project by participating in new business and strategic initiativesContribute towards our learning culture, where people put team, client, and company interest ahead of their own, by demonstrating interest in supervising and supporting the growth of othersTake advantage of company opportunities to develop leadership and consulting skills and thrive in a fast growth environmentRequired Qualifications 3+ years of technical writing and editingExperience in a justice or law enforcement environment preferredExcellent experience in writing, editing, and formatting documents in Word and PowerPointExcellent skills in strategic communications and ability to create compelling presentations and communicate with stakeholdersAbility to edit documents and make valuable contributions to make them compelling and useful for senior decision makersExperience with program performance measuresInterest in collaborating with a large team with a focus on emergency management and homeland securityAbility to create and apply style guides to documents for senior-level clientsStrong interest in working in a consulting firm and entrepreneurial spirit Enthusiasm to collaborate with others and get involved in company events and special projectsDesire to join a company and team and stay for the long-term, gaining more leadership and supervisory responsibilityExcellent work ethic in a dynamic, complex, and challenging environment and self-motivated with the ability to take on more responsibility quicklyAbility to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-personProven to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyStrong leadership potentialTechnological savvy with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools (SharePoint preferred) Ability to focus and pay attention to detail while remaining focused on a strategic, big pictureClearance: U.S. Citizenship only (no dual citizenship)Education: Bachelor's degreeCritical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, loves to learn, excited to engage and build relationshipsApplying to the Company: Please tell us about your interests and background; we would be grateful!
