What You’ll Do:Supply Chain ManagementEnsure effective operations of multiple food packing and distribution sites, including both fixed and mobile location management
Develop, maintain and continuously improve appropriate product supply processes and supply management for service area(s)
Ensure effective donor pick-ups, and direct distribution, along with execution of all inventory management activities
Maintain appropriate food, transportation and personnel safety standards
Coordinate required program reporting of supply chain and distribution activitiesCustomer RelationsDevelop and maintain standards for operations scheduling, volunteer training and acknowledgement
Develop and maintain standards for the respectful client scheduling, intake and distribution of meals
Ensure appropriate volunteer and client data management, including client data confidentiality
Support community, volunteer and client communication and outreach process
People ManagementAssign performance goals, initiatives and work tasks to direct reports
Coach and develop team members to successfully perform in roles
Ensure effective utilization of volunteer labor to execute production, supply management and client distribution plans
Manage performance of team members, including administration of the performance management tools and Disciplinary processes
Grow team capabilities to enable department and organizational talent development and succession planning

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, child care centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 600 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.
Where You’ll Work:
Supply ChainAbout the Role:This position is responsible for directing the management of multi-site operations, including packing, supply management and food distribution, through engagement of volunteers and staff in food distribution centers and product rescue operations within the Atlanta Community Food Bank network. This position is responsible for ensuring customer service to clients-in-need across multiple fixed and mobile locations. He/She will develop and lead the relevant staff, volunteer and client coordination, training, engagement and communication processes, while maintaining compliance with food, personnel and DOT safety, and program distribution reporting requirements. Management staff responsible for the food center site(s) and product rescue operations will report to this role. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
What You’ll Need:A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
ExperienceMust have at least 5 years of prior supply chain operations management with experience in an ERP-management environment
Must have 5 or more years of prior customer and/or client-facing community experience
Three or more year prior experience leading a stand-along operation or multiple operations within a site
Three or more years of prior experience with volunteer management
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in excel database and other reporting tools
Even Better if You Have:Five or more years prior experience leading stand-along operation or multiple operations within a site
Three or more years prior experience with non-CDL transportation
