We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role. We are seeking aDirector of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)to help develop, implement and oversee strategies, policies and procedures related to governance, risk management and compliance within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the company's operations are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements while minimizing potential risks and maintaining high ethical standards.Your impact:Develop and implement a comprehensive GRC framework, including policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Identify potential risks across the organization's operations, assess their potential impact, and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Monitor and evaluate existing processes and controls to identify areas for improvement and enhance overall governance and risk management effectiveness.Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, IT, and operations, to integrate GRC considerations into business processes and decision-making.Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify compliance gaps, internal control weaknesses, and areas of non-compliance, and develop action plans to address findings.Provide guidance and training to employees on GRC policies, procedures, and best practices to promote a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organization.Stay informed about emerging regulatory trends, industry developments, and best practices in GRC, and make recommendations for adjustments to the GRC framework as needed.Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders on GRC performance, including key metrics, risk exposure, compliance status, and remediation efforts.Manage compliance audit projects within the IT organizationAbout you:Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, JD) preferred.Proven experience (5 years) in a GRC role or a related area such as compliance, risk management, or internal audit.In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA standards) affecting the company's operations.Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks, interpret data, and make informed decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are a plus.Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to lead and motivate teams, drive change initiatives, and influence decision-making processes.Understanding of SOC1 and 2 complianceWhat's in this for you?Amazing coverages to start.Medical, dental, and vision coverages are just the beginning!
