Data Analyst - Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Job Summary
The Data Analyst provides comprehensive data to support decision-making, strategic planning, and assessment. This position collects, analyzes, and reports data from multiple sources. The Data Analyst interacts with internal and external constituents and serves as a representative of CITL and Illinois Online. Duties & Responsibilities - Extract data from multiple sources and databases to create reports and dashboards for responding to data requests. Verify data accuracy and resolve data issues. Maintain up-to-date documentation on projects, processes, and reports. Provide reports, analysis, and dynamic dashboards to support decision making. Use appropriate applications and data to assist administrators, faculty, and staff in obtaining timely, accurate, and relevant information. Assist users with data needs and requests. Provide input for developing and improving systems and procedures; designing, developing, and maintaining databases, applications, data collection and reporting techniques to meet changing information needs; troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed. Required Qualifications -
Any combination totaling two (2) years from the following categories: Progressively more responsible work experience in an Information Technology (IT) related profession College course work which included Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent: 60 semester hours or Associate's Degree equals one (1) year. 90-120 semester hours or Bachelor's Degree equals two (2) years. Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated professional work experience in marketing data analysis and/or experience in generated data visualizations and reports (such as Tableau). Experience in data analytics in an educational environment. Marketing and communications experience. Experience using Google Analytics. Experience with CRM systems, preferably Slate. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - The ability to use data to answer questions and solve problems. Knowledge of data privacy regulations. Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Knowledge and understanding of current trends and best practices in marketing and measurement, including tracking sources across multiple channels. Ability to use data to answer questions and solve problems. Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5031 - Information Technology Technical Associate position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the close of the search. Salary is commensurate with experience. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
