Responsibilities
• Prepares and serves meals in appropriate portions• Maintains cleanliness of work areas and equipment• Rotates inventories and notifies Food Service Director of supply needs• Stores food and checks supplies upon delivery• Seeks ways to improve food quality and service• Supports other departments and improves overall resident satisfaction• Provides good communication to all involved in providing services• Performs other assigned duties
Requirements
• Experience and/or knowledge of meal preparation for large groups• Ability to read and understand recipes• Ability to work in a team environment• Ability to work flexible shifts and handle multiple tasks• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Ability to speak and write the English language• Ability to work with the elderly and those who associate with them• Ability to work with diverse groups of people• Ability to accept constructive criticism• Professional appearance and positive attitude
