Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy• Build positive relations with media outlets and industry influencers• Manage the organization's public image and reputation• Enhance internal communications and employee engagement• Oversee content creation for various communication channels• Develop and implement crisis communications plans• Supervise and mentor communication staff• Evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts• Position may include other duties as needed
Requirements
• Experienced communications strategist with success leading large scale multi-faceted communications programs• Current knowledge of changing media and digital landscape• Excellent writer and communicator• Ability to process and synthesize information to develop messaging guidelines• Skilled project and people manager• Adept at moving narratives on traditional and social media• Familiarity with design and video best practices• Strategic thinking, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills• Experience leading strategic communications efforts• 5-7 years of experience preferred• Familiarity with traditional and new media, digital marketing, messaging, and targeting strategies• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred• Must possess a cell phone, driver's license, and reliable automobile• In-state and national travel required• Some weekend and evening hours required
