Role Summary:
The CMC Process Safety Leader reports to the CMC EHS/PSM Value Stream Leader and will be based in Newark, DE, Huntsville, AL, Asheville, NC, or Cincinnati, OH. The scope of this position will be to develop business PSM procedures and assist sites in integrating them cross-functionally to reduce process safety risks.
Essential Responsibilities:
The position has the primary responsibility to serve as the key resource for CMC Value Stream to develop technical standards for process safety management aligned with the 14 PSM Elements.
In addition, this role will:
Work with site PSM Leaders to develop site process safety management systems aligned with business standards
Develop and execute multiyear Process Safety Management System strategy to reduce process safety risks and establish sustainable, world-class management system and PSM-focused culture.
Develop and track key process safety management performance metrics and work with sites to establish accountability and closure of process safety gaps.
Support building and executing on PSM core competency requirements for the CMC Value Stream.
Assist in the development and integration of PSM standards and tollgates into the new product introduction and project management processes.
Support JVs in PSM development and implementation
Participate in PSM audits and incident investigations as required at sites.
Remain current with advances and improvements in process safety management - develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of best practices.
Provide for best practice sharing and world class benchmarking by various means including support of global conferences and communications.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Chemical manufacturing experience with minimum of 5 years developing and implementing PSM processes
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
This role will require 25% travel.
