Automotive Service Consultant

Job Summary:Preferred Auto Dealerships is seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at our Grand Haven, Michigan location. This is a Full Time, individual contributor role in the Auto industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional customer service to clients by assisting them with their automotive repair and maintenance needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the automotive industry and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Compensation and Benefits:This position offers a competitive salary range of $43882 to $81796 per year, paid semi-monthly. In addition to your base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k retirement plan, and employee discounts on car purchases and service.Responsibilities:Greet customers and listen to their concerns and requests regarding their vehicle's service needsConduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and maintenanceSchedule service appointments and ensure timely completion of repairsCommunicate with technicians, providing updates on customer requests and work progressEducate customers on recommended maintenance and answer any questions they may haveMaintain accurate records of all service transactions and document any additional recommendationsHandle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely mannerCollaborate with the Parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary parts for repairsStay up-to-date with industry information and product knowledge to better assist customersRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent, automotive certification or degree preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry, specifically in customer service or service advisingKnowledge of automotive systems and componentsStrong customer service and communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and time-management abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environmentProficient in computer skills and experience with automotive softwareValid driver's licenseEEOC statement:Preferred Auto Dealerships is an equal opportunity employer.
