Job Posting Summary Ensworth is seeking an Associate Director of Sports League & Auxiliary Programs Coordinator. This full-time, non-exempt role operates on a 12-month schedule and involves organizing and coordinating sports leagues and aiding in the coordination of all auxiliary programs at Ensworth. We are seeking an Associate Director of Leagues that will uphold the Ensworth vision statement of "a school community dedicated to following the highest principles with the greatest love, as characterized by moral integrity, intellectual vitality, discipline, compassion, humor, and joy." It is imperative that this Associate Director embody our vision statement, is self-motivated, communicates clearly, and loves teaching. Reporting to the director of auxiliary programs, the position collaborates closely with the auxiliary programs staff. The typical schedule encompasses Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend hours required. Key Responsibilities And Essential Functions Abides by Ensworth's Employee Handbook and Code of Conduct Commits to the ideals expressed in Ensworth's Mission Statement, Vision Statement, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement Lead in alignment with our vision by reflecting a commitment to competitive excellence and a dedication to mentoring students within a vigorous academic environment. Associate Director Of Sports Leagues Responsibilities Promote and generate interest in Leagues Build relationships with current parents, outside parents, youth coaches Timely communication with parents and coaches Organize and communicate weekly game schedules for leagues Organize and coordinate practice space for teams at both Frist and Red Gables campuses Work with current Ensworth parents to organize teams when needed Secure officials as needed Recruit and organize student workers as needed for concessions, scorekeeping and general support of leagues Secure league monitors for both campuses and communicate/delegate game day operations to these individuals Manage human resources for leagues Ensure website information is updated and accurate Collaborate with the Admissions Office and the Athletic Director to attract student-athletes to our admission pool Auxiliary Programs Coordinator Responsibilities In collaboration with the Director of Auxiliary Programs, help oversee summer programs and other Auxiliary Programs to align with the school's mission Expand and oversees facility rentals, ensuring the coordination of schedules and receipt of rental payments Support program and staff scheduling, logistics, student registration, and payment, as well as vendor management Support aftercare on a regular basis Help manage and utilize diverse software applications for student registration, family communication, and building usage scheduling Assist the Director of Auxiliary Programs with the administration of all Auxiliary Programs Encourage a team-oriented atmosphere through positive supervisory methods, effective communication, and constructive interactions with others Assists with daily summer carpool duties Other duties as assigned by the Director of Auxiliary Programs Qualifications/Experience Must have a Bachelor's degree; sports management and/or recreation administration specialties preferred Relevant experience caring for children ages four through fourteen in a professional setting (e.g., teaching, childcare, etc.) Advanced understanding and ability to use computers and technology including Microsoft Windows and Office products, basic office equipment, and electronic registration systems (e.g. CampBrain) Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all constituents in a school environment, including all ages of students, co-workers, parents, alumnae, volunteers, and the public Adaptability, honesty, self-reliance, teamwork, dependability, flexibility, willingness to listen and learn, work ethic, determination, persistence, problem-solving skills, loyalty, and congeniality are essential Must successfully complete background screening and verification Continued Education Programs (as required by Grade Level and/or position) – Periodically participate in different training sessions identified by you, the employee and/or Divisional Leadership/Supervisor with the goal of keeping our teachers and staff up to date with current teaching methods, practices and any new knowledge in their respective field. Depending on the program, such training may need to take place outside of normal working hours and/or in the summer months. Physical Requirements And Work Environment Regularly works in standard classroom conditions and regularly works outdoors (i.e. playground) in varying weather conditions and climate Regularly uses close and distance vision; works at a computer screen for extended periods of time; ability to observe students from various distances Regularly required to move around the classroom; works at a desk for intermediate periods of time; occasionally positions oneself to work with small children on the floor; frequently moves around campus Ability to occasionally move items weighing up to 30 lbs. across the campus/classroom Works in a highly stressful environment, effectively dealing with a wide variety of challenges, activities, and a varied and diverse array of contacts; stamina to maintain a calm demeanor and attention to detail despite interruptions Ability to work flexible hours to support special events Ensworth requires employees to be physically present on campus, with limited exceptions that are at the sole discretion of the School. Under extraordinary circumstances, some or all of the workforce may be required to move to a remote working environment. Additionally, certain individuals may also be approved for limited remote work, based on the nature of the job description, specific circumstances, and only with written prior approval by a direct supervisor.
